An Unforgettable Experience

The day I fell in love with Hong Kong..
On a Hike on Lamma Island!

After spending 7 weeks in Hong Kong I did not want to leave. I never thought I would have this feeling. After spending four months in Beijing I was definitely ready to come home after the 3rd.

I liked Hong Kong more than Beijing because it was a good balance between western and eastern life. Beijing was a huge culture shock for me. There were hardly any westerners living there and close to no one spoke English (of course that aspect was great for me to practice my Chinese).

If I had the opportunity to move to Hong Kong I would. There isn't a day that has gone by since I have been back that I haven't missed living in Hong Kong.

I want to thank my parents for giving me the opportunity to spend a month in Hong Kong and supporting me. I also want to thank Wofford for having Interim and giving their students the opportunity to explore the world and learn about different cultures. Lastly I would like to thank Li Laoshi for being a great professor for the past four years and supporting me every step of the way.

I couldn't have chosen a better place to spend my last interim!

An unforgettable view from our apartment!
